Thanks for the replies. I took the truck into a place in town that is basically the final authority on suspensions. The tech took a ride with me and said that the problem was likely the tires. They are basically new Bf Goodrich with that deep tread. He said that once the tread wears down it should improve. Wizh the dealer hadnt put those on. I guess there is nothing for me to do now but wear the tires down and wait.
One wierd thing that has come up recently is that when I go over bumps I can feel something akin to tapping through the steering column. Feels like if you were to hold a pipe in your hand and someone taps on it. Could there be something loose in the suspension that causes this?
Thats what I was going to say. I got my truck used, 2006 4x4 2500 it had crappy tires and I was experiencing the same thing. New upper and lower ball joints on both sides and it was still there although greatly reduced. Got new 10 ply Nittos and problem solved.
