my Amber Dak is still running the stock ignition. it's got a mediocre cam, 2.02 EQ heads, M1, 52x55 F&B TB and all the usual bolt ons.

stocker w/ brass cap & rotor. Amber still has a stock dizzy also.

she puts down 325 to the wheels and with a torque converter swap to ~3000 stall, i'm confident she'll run 12's in the 1/4.

Time for another question. While I have the bottom end opened up I'm going to replace the oil pump. Which is the better way to go, High Volume, or High Pressure.

High volume. I believe the Mopar pump is made by Melling (sp?) which is a very good pump. Its also a high volume pump. I have one in the other Dak.

Ok I knowI am late to the party but I have a few questions for you. Are you replacing the motor because it is burning oil? Have you checked to see if it is pulling oil up through a blown plenum gasket? It could be as simple as pulling the intake and replacing that or putting an M1/Hughes Airgap on it. The reason I ask is because yes I do see engines worn out but I have pulled several Magnum motors apart with 100-150k on them and they look brand new inside with visible cross hatch in the bores still. It's just a thought and another alternative to rebuilding a motor. I would to a compression test as well just to see where your motor is.
