Thumbs up Reliable HID Kit for projector headlights

Ok so I have a 2013 Longhorn, and I've been reading and reading other posts about the HID installs. So what I'm curious to know to help diffuse confusion is there a reliable kit I can buy no matter the money to install and not worry that something is gonna burn up or cause the truck issues? Looking at the 55 watt 5K
Thanks everyone

What about a Beamers HID kit with Canbus ballasts? Anyone have problems with a setup like that?

The Morimoto units are the best. But, the 2013's are finicky as I'm sure you've been reading.
All it takes is a poor ground, faulty resistor etc and you'll end up like so many others running around with brand new trucks and cheap drop-in HID kits with a burnt out headlight (real nice).

I just spent close to $1500 on a full retro'd (Retro Source) set of headlights to be as close to stock as possible and I WILL do a perfect install job, but if suddenly I end up driving around with a burnt out headlight I'm going to be extremely pissed. I don't yet have them to install though.
Unfortunately, a "money's no object" scenario still doesn't mean we can get things that are as good as OEM. But I think it doesn't get any better than what Retro Shop builds.

I sure hope I don't regret this purchase :-)

Thanks for the replies, I emailed retro fit source to make sure I get the right kit ordered and we shall see what happens. I know now there is no guarantee of install and forget about it cause the last thing I want is driving around in a new truck with a headlight out... But I really would like to have a set of HIDs in my truck as I have never had them before and really like the look and function.

As far as I am concerned it is a 50/50 thing.

Some buy a cheap HID CanBus kit and know how to install it or get lucky and have no problems.

Then some buy a good HID kit with a wiring harness, resistors, ect. and have no idea on how to install it and end up with problems.

You can not just blame the HID light kit for the problems.

When installing a HID light kit in Ram trucks You Need To Know The Basics Of Wiring and how to trouble shoot your installation if something goes wrong.

JMO.

Basically guys if you want to just put projectors in your truck just for lows it will run you prob 300 in parts im doing lows highs and fogs plus had my stuff hydro dipped must of what your paying for is labor which is like this to open takes about 30 mins tops to put in projectors takes like an hour then paint another hour then to seal 20 mins then sit over night so total labor is prob 3-4 hours lol 1500 ouch
