Default Crew cab rear 2" drop springs

Just an FYI for anyone with a quad/crew cab. Ground force is now making 2" drop springs for our trucks It's kit #91214. Mudflaps has the best deal on them right now.

I see it comes with shocks. Seems odd to need shocks at a 2" drop.
My new truck is 3" higher in the rear, do they have a kit for that?

Get the 2" drop and cruise that for a week or two and let the springs settle. If it's still to high in the back start cutting 1/2 a coil off at a time till you get your desired ride height

when you lower the rear of a 4wd is there anything else you need to do.....like align driveline? Is it easier on truck parts then say a front level kit. obviously there is no need to align wheels. I am looking at this kit pretty seriously just not sure if there is anything else I need to watch out for. Is it hard on 4wd system? Ive search the forum but cant come up with much info.

Lowering the rear is much better/easier on the suspension than lifting the front. Lowering the rear 2" really has no adverse effects. Granted the axle will be offset a hair due to having a panhard bar, but you're talking less than a half inch, and probably even smaller, so it's really not a big deal at all.

Also, if you cut coils I would really underestimate when you cut, as you can always cut more, but can't do anything if you cut too much. If you only need 0.5" to 1" I wouldn't cut half coils at a time I'd do more like 1/4 coils at a time.

I have a Groundforce 2" kit for my truck. The front of the truck actually becomes a little higher after the drop. My truck is only 1/2" lower in the front now. It looks 100% level.

Oh, and I really recommend just getting the drop kit instead of cutting your coils. You get good quality shocks and springs, and its worth the money in my opinion.

thanks for the responses guys. Ramrt your truck looks great!! I love the level look for sure and im tired of lifted look so I really want to go the direction you did this time. snrusnak, thanks for the info, do you know if I should expect any shutter or driveline shake with it being off that little bit? I found the GF kit on Jegs for 359 and that seems pretty good. Thanks again guys
