Default battery drain when truck is off

hey guys i need help, a couple weeks ago i hit i big a** bump in the road drove home, turned the truck off then went to bed. the next day i go to leave for work and my battery is dead, i jumped it off my room mates car then went to work, when i turned the truck off i noticed the radio was staying on. i had no clue what would brake to cause this so i had been pulling the radio fuse when i turn it off. the truck sat for the weekend, i go to leave for monday and dead again, so i jumped it once again, then i noticed everything is working electrical wise; radio, wipers, turn signals, a/c ect. what would have broke to cause this??

Is it after market? And did you install the stereo? Cause if it stays on there might be a short between switch/memery power.

If it was like a Yukon Cornelius WAAAhooo bump...I dunno.

If it was like an (insert multiple explanatives here) hitting the edge of a huge pot hole, bone jarring, tooth chipping bump...I might think that all the stuff in your starter that wears off the inside from normal starts, during normal use, got jarred around and caused a short.

Turn the radio on and the key off. Lay on your back and whack it, the starter that is, and see if the radio goes off.

Jump it and visit the same bump again, or

Climb under there with a test light and see if the trigger wire is hot with the key off.

It's a place to start. Anybody agree with me?

thanks man i want to say from self diagnoses that its my ignition, when its in the locked position it seems to be in acc mode.(when you turn the key back) so i turned it slightly forward of the locked position and it seemed to be fine, but i also noticed when its in the slightly forward position i hear a clicking noise on the drivers side under or behind the dash. any ideas on that? and the wiring plug under the drivers seat could have got wet when the cup hold dumped from the bump spilling 2 cups of soda. and when i move that plug i hear the "clicking" noise.
