On the subject of keyless entry i dont have power anything and i own a reg cab so all i care about is the keyless and remote start and i hear dealer is the best way to go but they also rape you and take all your money so does anyone have any suggestions?

I moved your post here where you're more likely to get some help with your question. I don't have power anything, either and would love RKE/remote start on a day like today lol!

I bought it from my dealer for $188 and some change (tax included). Tell them you found it on the Internet for that price and they should come down. They'll still make money at that price. Here's the part# 82211073AD (List price $235 on www.mopar.com).

It comes as a complete kit with Wireless Ignition Module (WIN), 2 factory key Fob's, antenna, hood switch, brackets and wiring. I installed all of the parts except for the WIN. The dealer needs to program the WIN and key fobs before they are installed in the truck. I did almost all of the work as far as installation and it only took the dealer about 30 minutes to install the WIN and program the fobs. They charged me $37.50 for a half hours worth of labor.

You'll find the installation guide for the kit here --> http://www.mopar-accessories.com/en-...=3347&pc=45056

Good Luck!

Could not find anything on the website and part number did not show anything. I will talk to a dealer when i get home. Now was this just keyless entry or remote start or both?

I finally found what you were talking about just did some further searching. In order to get remote start i have to have keyless entry first. I would like to know if anyone had this installed after purchase only if it was OEM parts and what all needed to be done to the doors? I know you need actuators and stuff but do you need to change the whole inner door panel to put in the switches or can you kust roll with what you got as far as that goes?

So if I followed this right. I have factory electric locks and get this kit it will allow keyless entry and remote start with the radio keys?

You are definately going to need more parts than come in the Remote Start kit I referenced in my earlier post. Just a short list off the top of my head, door actuators for each door, wiring harness in each door (may already be there if your lucky), door panels with lock switches, and maybe a couple more parts I can't think of right now. Probably gonna cost a pretty penny to upgrade.

Yes, if you already have keyless entry the Remote Start kit in my post works great. Do most of the install yourself and you'll save some cash.

I don't have the factory keyless entry. Only the electric locks.

I have power door locks and looked into have key less entry and remote starter put on at a aftermarket stereo shop. They wanted roughly 200 bucks to install the key less entry and another 200 for remote starter option. He told me the parts cost less than 100 bucks but it the labor of installing everything that cost soooo much. Needless to say I still use my key to get into the truck and start it up and walk back inside where I wait for it to warm up. Call me cheap...lol.
