Default Another does tire question, please help!

Ok so here's what I got, 2004 1500 4x4 w/2" level with the aluminum clad wheels (from '06-'08). Wanting to order some trail graps 295/60/r20 and keep them on my powder coated stock 20's. SO, I'm almost positive this will fit BUT, I can't use spacers. Will I be able to fit these 295/60/r20 on my stock 20's without spacers, or if not 305/55/r20?? I have seen someone run the 295/60 on stockers with 1/4" spacers but his was an 07 and I've heard the 03-05 may be different. I've done my homework, just need an answer without spacers!

295/60/r20 - 34.45"x12.13"
305/55/r20 - 33.39"x12.6

The 2004 and 2007 body style is the same, so if it fit there then it will fit on yours. The only thing different is that the 07 has IFS front end and you have torsion bars. I had a leveling kit with 305/55/20 tires on the stock 20s and they were fine. I did have rubbing on full lock but it is no big deal. I now have those same tires on my 11 Ram and they fit too. So I can pretty much say your truck with those tires and a level should be fine

I agree with ScatPak...if they do rub it will be a full steering lock. The 295's will rub a bit less.

I have 305/55/20's n the stock 20" rims with a 2" level and there is no rub at all, at full lock forwards or in reverse. Going to buy 35/12.5/18 and aftermarket wheels next summer because the 33's arent quite big enough

that answered my problem 100 percent, thanks.

why upgrade tho? i love my 35s but i have a lift on my second gen and i have plenty of room for my 35s to flex in the wheel wells. im not too fond of 'barely' clearing parts.... id rather have plenty of room...guess thats my opinion tho..

glad I could help. reason for upgrading is I would like a bit different look, I can go up 1 more inch with my level and was thinking of doing a 1 inch block in the back, plus I wanted black wheels when I bought the 33's but 20's were too much and just a tire package was more than I wanted to spend.
so I am thinking of doing the extra inch and going with 35's and 18" wheels in black and keeping my 33's and stockers for the winter to keep the black wheels from getting trashed, the tires will last longer and if I end up selling the truck for a new one I can take a set with me....
