The sales code for the steering wheel radio switches is RDZ.

I have looked into this before and the wire harness does not have an individual repair harness part number. The harness is only sold as part of the headliner and not seperately.

The best thing to do is to find a salvage yard that can remove the harness from a wreck for you. The harness goes down the drivers side pillar and plugs in to a plug on the side of the dash.

The mounting bracket is available thru the parts department a the dealer. Here is the part number: 55365119AC

I just ran a power and ground to the homelink and it works, but I left the lin bus wiring disconnected, until I can figure out where the wiring goes. In my 12 I dont have a white/green striped wire in the green plug on the side of the dash. My wires are twisted and white/orange. There are two sets of them in the green plug that are not being used. I was told the lin bus wire controls the lighting of the homelink switch and makes it dim when you turn on the lighting. If anyone has knowledge of how to connect this lin bus wiring and can research where it goes that would be great. Apstram has helped alot with the install, and has been great at answering questions, but there is not a lot of info on the 12's. I did find out when you install the evic, you still lose the horn and power to the steering wheel switches, so it has to be re-wired like the 11's. I will let everyone know about adding the radio switch sales code to control the evic once I get it done, since you can already control the cluster from the wheel of the 12 trucks. I dont think I will need it though....
SNKMUG, Can you please give me the part / assembly number that you used for your Overhead Console. I want to install one in my ST Express and so far all of the part numbers that I have found are bad per my local dealer. If anyone has one that they want to sell, I will buy it.
Paul

I am going to make my own harness for a overhead console install on my Express. I ordered the repair connector for the console lights it's part number 68064999AA but I can't find the part number for the compass module.

The connector repair website shows the connector but not the part number.
Does anyone know what the part number would be for this connector?

How big does the hole needs to be cut into the headliner for the console and is it easy to cut? Should it be the size of the factory cutout pictured below?

i cut mine with a snap knife, it's messy, so plan on giving the truck a good cleaning when your done. start with a hole in the middle and work out. be careful on the front tho, it's easy to get too close. i unsnapped the bezel from the inside piece, and used it as a template sorta.

ATOMS,
Did you get my IM ? I'll definately take you up on the compass module connector.
Sounds like a good idea to use the inside part of the console as a template.

My console parts are due this Friday making this my weekend project. With a quad
cab only having one overhead light is a real pain at night, I'm looking forward to
the extra lighting.

I bought the console with the Homelink cutout but didn't buy the homelink module
yet but will sometime but I want to get the harness prewired for it. For now I'll
Velcro my garage door opener over the homelink button hole.

Jim
