I have a 2012 ram sport which has the same vibration. I took it to the dealer and the test drive didn't reveal the vibration. On the way home it started to vibrate again. Frustrating! It vibrates about 90% of the time but only when the eco light is on. Any ideas??

No it's normal. The engine is "lugging" at a low rpm already most of the time, then it drops to 4 cyl. mode and the entire truck slighlt vibrates at speeds under 55 mph. You'll get used to it and it will diminish as the truck's break in. When it gets on my nerves I bump the shifter into 4th or 5th turning off the eco, and then I enjoy the exhaust note from my aftermarket muffler.

Default Heater Issue

Three times last week I was having problems with the heater controls. The truck would be warmed up but would not blow any warm air. At first I thought it may be temperature related as it was below -35C each time I went to work and would work fine at -25 on the way home. Went to the dealer and they reset the heater control module. Worked great until yesterday when it happened again. It was fairly warm at -18. Dealer ordered me a new control module and said this is affecting roughly 20% of all the trucks sold.

Thumbs up

I will have had my ram for 3 months this 20th of January. I put 1000kms the first day I owned it gas mileage on the highway is great 14L/100kms I have had zero issues what so ever with 7900kms so far. I understand peoples frustrations but it comes with anything some vehicles have issues regardless there is always the potential for a manufacture defect. I am going o state this Ram is by far better than the new ford eco boost which I had jothing but issues with

^ It's nice to be one of the lucky few. I guess my decision to buy a bare bones Express was a good one. Nothing fancy or extra to break... lol 6k miles and still runs like a kitten on roids. My metallic silver paint is tigerstriped on the hood and roof, but I can live with it. 95% of people would never notice.
And just to compare, My last ride was a Brand new 2011 Scion Tc. Scion is a division of Toyota for those who do not know. That was the second and last Toyota product I will ever buy. I was not impressed with Toyota's "Legendary Quality". They make great engines, that's about the only good thing I can say about them. My Ram is 10x better initial quality than the Yota truck and the Scion were.

I live in a northern climate with winter temps around the -35/-40c area I have not had any issues with my 2012 ram Laramie 1500 at 37000km. I will how ever note that there are some cosmetic things, very mine though. 1) the blower motor I found was loud so I made a Cover for the motor it's silent now, 2) the dash will creak a little when it gets super hot from running the heater for hours at max. 3) the drivers seat creaked, I gave the rail and screw the power seat moves on a shot of lithium grease and it hasn't made a sound since. I get 11.8L/100 km approx 20 mpg at 107 km with cruise on. Winter not so good 19.4L/100. Other then that this has been the beat truck I have owned. I had 3 new Chevy/gmc and 3 new ford trucks prior to this (my first dodge) and its good for me so far.

Hello folks, newbie here and this is my first post. I just picked up a Ram 1500 Big Horn. Have had it for an entire 6 weeks now, LOL! And almost 1000 miles. Nothing major to speak of BUT these are the issues I have noticed so far:

1) Those front seat headrests are the worst. Not sure how many of you feel the same way but I had to switch the rear headrests to the front. They pretty much made the truck un-drivable from discomfort. Have spoke to dodge about this but only solution I have been given is to buy a new pair of rears for the front ($300 for the pair).

2) The Uconnect voice commands is all but useless. This describes the issue perfect:

I do love this truck. With the rear headrests in the front comfort can not be beaten, for a truck. I do notice the tranny will wind pretty high in second gear, when driving normal not WOT, but I don't think that is an issue. Another thing I have noticed is that sometimes I get a Rear End Clunk. Had that same issue with my '93 Dakota. After a while it ended up being the rear gear box and it blew out, that's how I discovered what it was. With the lifetime warrantee I will not worry so much about it but will bring it up to the dealer. Other than that I can't say much bad about this new 2012 RAM 1500. I am a little disappointed with the HEMI. Just thought it would be more responsive and not so sluggish off the line. I know, CAI, Cat Back and the Diablo Chip... On the list folks. Is there something I missed as far as modifications? Saw some headers out there too, would those void my warrantee? Do not want to void my (lifetime) warrantee so I need to keep it "Mopar Legal", so to speak. Any input on these issues and upgades would be helpful. Thanks all, nice to be a member here...
