One year and 15,000 miles with my Laramie, no Problems so far, nice an quiet ride, capable of everything I demand, lots of power, best vehicle I ever owned. Yet even more fun because of the exhaust cutout I installed.

I purchased my 2012 Laramie 4x4 CC with all the bells and whistles back on October 31st 2012, and haven't had any major problems to speak of. Center console squeaks unless I put my arm on it. That's about all. 15.4mpg average for the life of the truck (hand calculated)

Soooo, front lights started to flicker a little bit.
It only flickers when the engine is running in low rpm, flicker is very slight, not visible at daylight only at night at places where it's really dark.
Battery get's a lot of volts from the alternator too, about 14,6V on average. Volts stay constant at 14,6 V no matter the rpm's.

Gotta figure out what causes this, sucks a bit.

My 2012 2500 with a Hemi fully loaded Laramie 4x4 is 1.5 years old with 12000 mi on it and it has been flawless. By FAR the best and nicest truck I have owned. Knock on wood it goes this way for a long time.

I know that these are old posts, but I noticed that they were posted in January, which is generally a colder month. As motor mounts (rubber or hydraulic) will be stiffer, therefore transmitting more vibration from the motor to the chassis, I'm wondering if you noticed less of a vibration in the warmer months. I can feel mine, when it goes into cylinder deactivation mode, but it doesn't bother me. It just lets me know when I'm driving eco-friendly ($ friendly, too).

Sounds like an alternator/voltage regulator problem. Should be under warranty.

Sorry Sir,

no warranty for self imported RAM's in Europe

A friend who's working at a Chrysler/Jeep dealership checked the PCM an TIPM, no problems there, another friend who works in the aeronautics industry checked the electrics and the alternator, alternator and voltage regulator are fine, my truck hast no battery temperature sensor, so this cannot be the issue.

So I checked the wiring running to the frame (don't know how you name them over there, we call them "mass points" or "grounding"), had a little bit of corrosion at the points under the hood so i removed the corrosion, cleaned everything an gave it some terminal grease. The flickering is almost removed and a still have to check one of the points at the frame so I think a can solve that problem this way, if not I give it a try with this "BIG THREE" installment mentioned here:

Finally joined the site and thought I would throw out there that I bought my truck new in November of '11 and have yet to have any issues. Have put 42,000 problem free miles on it so far. However, since a few others listed some minor things, I thought I would give my few complaints.

1) Blind spots...I don't know about all of you but I find this truck to have plenty of them and I would consider tow mirrors if it wasn't a half ton (just think they look funny on a half ton). I removed my rear head rest and this did help somewhat so that my back glass is now easier to see out of but cars still sneak up beside me and I have learned to always turn my head and look when changing lanes and not trust the mirrors.
2) Headlights are not very impressive...they are ok at lighting up the sides of the road but do not go out very far.
3) Very rarely (I can count on one hand the number of times this has happened), the truck will be in park idling and the rpms constantly go back and forth between 500-700. I run 89 octane gas...but our gas contains up to 10% ethanol and I have wondered if maybe that has something to do with it or if the fan is confused about kicking on and off. But like I said it has only done this 3 or 4 times and it runs normal as soon as I put it in drive so I have dismissed it as being anything serious...yet.

Been a great truck so far!
