I Just picked up a 2012 Ram 1500 Sport Crew Cab 4X4 (2 weeks old 1700 miles). When I hook my I-Phone to the front USB trying to add pictures the USB on the touch screen does not light up for me to pick it. Anyone able to add pictures using the front USB with and I Phone?

You need to use a USB thumb drive or some other type of USB drive. It is not possible to download photos from the iPhone without iTunes or iPhoto.

Also, I have tried numerous different USB devices formatted to FAT32 and have been unable to get pictures onto the radio. Just like yours, the USB button is grayed out.

Have my 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 for 3 weeks, 1100 miles and only issue is the AM/FM does not work.

I think the antenna is not hooked up. The truck is at the dealer right now getting fixed.

So to clarify even further, if you are at 5/8 tank, and you come to a normal stop, and feel a thunk a few seconds after stopping - THAT'S FUEL SLOSH, which occurs because Dodge did not put baffles in their fuel tanks. Dodge has admitted to me that they have left the baffles out and that is what's causing the thunk. Now after you feel the thunk, go to the gas station and fill your tank. If the thunk is no longer there at stop, then what you have just experienced is FUEL SLOSH. So again, let me restate, there is absolutely no thunk until you get to 3/4 tank, and there's no thunk below 1/2 tank. Hence, we know it is FUEL SLOSH causing the thunk. Hope this helps. Thanks,
Blake
No , not confused.....I read your other posts....but thanks for the added explanation.

Saw the reference before to the "between 1/2 full and 3/4 full" and the thunk I have happens whether its full , almost empty or anywhere in between. No other thunks felt between 1/2 and 3/4, which is where my truck seems to live most its time lately...LOL...

I have felt fuel slosh before and have towed a half empty water buffalo and those situations both had one BIG "thunk" and then one or two smaller ones, following close behind as the liquid settled down.

If I jackrabbit start in the Ram, an action that would certainly get the fuel moving, with the tank at 1/2 tank or 3/4 tank, and stop short, I get no thunk. The thunk I feel only seems to happen after driving forward a bit at normal speed THEN stopping, for me.

My point is that I am pretty sure that if it were fuel slosh caused by liquid (gas) violently moving back and forth, I should feel it in that jackrabbit test, AND the sloshing wouldn't be just ONE slosh or thunk, seems like it would be at least a couple since the fuel is moving forward and backward in waves...it just doesnt move once then stop.

My belief is that what most people feel if they have just ONE thunk when coming to a stop is that its tranny or TC related and is not really an issue, any more than the "bog" people feel is...its just the way these trannys work......

Even if it is fuel slosh caused by a lack of baffles, its not really a problem either IMHO.

But as always, YMMV.

Have you noticed any alignment issues or left to right side differences in your front bumper? Do you have a sport bumper or chrome?

Just measured mine, both are the same....performance wise, the only thing that I wonder about is going about 45mph, fully accelerate, and it will not drop a gear..it will just go from second forward (no fearsome launch there) LOL! On the other hand, I bought a new 24 foot TT camper, when leaving their dealership, I reset the milage thingy, used tow/haul, (driving approx 65mph @6700ft, hilly terrain) and achived what I think is a respectable 13.7 avg on a 130 mile trip. I have 5200 miles on it now.

I would be happy with that mpg. I am averaging 17.3 as of today and I pull a trailer 100 miles out of a 260 mile loop I do @ work 6 days a week.

At 45mph if I floor mine you better hang on cuz it goes down a gear or 2 and goes like a raped ape. Really surprised me the first time I passed a slowpoke. I was alone and said holey sh!t to my self. I didn't have anything turned off and not in tow-haul. 6000mi on it now.

I have owned my 2012 Crewcab for 6 mos. now and have had (2) paint issues corrected along with a short in the wiring that powers the rear sliding window. There are more than a few quality control issues with these trucks as I received a survey call from Chrysler on the truck and basically let them have it with both barrels! I have gotten numerous call backs asking me to elaborate on the issues and told them to just qiut the GD surveys and fix the damn issues. I love the truck, but if I watched it being built i probably would not have bought it. This is what happens in Detroit when the workers get fat and lazy and no one gives a damn anymore. Wonder why the imports are kicking our butts. Quality, HELLO?
