Thumbs down fuel tank vents

Just put an Air Dog II in my 04.5. There are two vents, one at each end of the tank that don't seem to have a place to go. So I just hooked them together. so no air and dirt can get in and no fuel can slosh out. Anyone know if Dodges have air canisters or where these lines are suupposed to go?
