When driving down the road and come to a little grade uphill, the tach will jump up and down about 100-200 rpms as the engine is surging. If i stomp on the throttle, the truck will take off strong. I replaced the TPS due to someone else having same problem but this has not helped. I am not sure if it is fuel or electrical. Any ideas what could cause this?
most engine surging is going to be computer related, either it be a sensor or the ecm it self, in most cases it's a sensor but in a number of cases it's the ecm. i would probably check the sensors and if they all check out maybe buy another ecm, if that doesn't fix it then keep the ecm on hand it's good thing to keep in the back of the truck. these computers just die die die
