frickenbored will become famous soon enough
Default Been wondering...

I don't own a Power Wagon but I think their fricken awesome. I've gotten to drive and work on quite a few of them where I work and I always hear the same thing from the owners: "I love this truck but man I wish they were offered with a diesel."

So what do you power wagon owners think, would these trucks benefit from a cummins. Personally I think that would be the cherry on top.

I have been wodering this myself, as a Power Wagon owner. I think it'd be awesome if it were an option. Pretty sure the reason it isn't offered is the intercooler for the Cummins sits right where the winch goes. Also, the weight difference between the 2 motors. The truck already weighs plenty, and I think that would just be a huge weight gain.
I'd like to see it. I know there are a few custom power wagons with the cummins, but that takes some money, haha.

What I was told is they do not offer a diesel because it does not handle the cold as well as a gas motor. I would love to have a diesel as well though. They expect these trucks to go through some serious abuse and for the guys that do use them in the bush in the winter they dont want to have a problem starting it when your out in the middle of no where. If your out in the bush for days and its freezing you dont want to come back to a truck that doesnt start. This is what Chrysler told me since i asked them why it doesnt, cause I wanted it in mine lol

I asked the same thing and pretty much got the same answer both of you guys already posted . My wife works at a Dodge dealer and I had her ask her sales rep from chrysler. You cant even put a plow on a PW cause of the winch and something with the suspension which I am assuming is its to tall. She just had a customer come in after buying one to have a plow put on and he found out the hard way that you cant. But yes deisel would be sweet.

Hmm, not sure how the winch gets in the way of a plow. I have plow trucks at work (granted they are ferds) but all it is a mount on the frame. But who knows, I've never asked nor do I want to put a plow on my truck.

Ya I dont quite get that either, I have a chevy as a plow truck at work and I cant see how it would be affected by the winch either.
