Default Atlanta Drag Strip- got 7 runs in today!!!

First time to the strip and had a blast, tried really hard to get into the upper 13's but couldn't pull it off. 6 speed tranny has a huge power drop shifting from 3 to 4th. It just falls on it face in the traps. 6 out of my 7 races I got the off the line by at least 1-2 truck lengths; I'm still shocked. But the mustangs were able to close me out at the traps. Looking forward to dropping these big 305/50R20's for some 17's and slicks
Best time was a 14.093

I defiantly had my traction control off, I've been practicing my launch for over a year and it payed off. Didn't spin out one time. Then to find out the drag strip is 35 minutes away

That's pretty good for a 6sp, and the mods you've got. 3(2P) gear on the 4th Gens is pretty fun. It's like nitrous kicks in at 90mph.

Hopefully I'll make it too the track next weekend with my 05'. Found a 1/4 2hrs. from me.

I have Jay Greene to thank for it. The man took it from a pile of parts to holy shit with the whip of a stick. We'll see next weekend just how much of a beast it is. On the street it holds it's own.

Yep that 2p gear is amazing but once I hit 6500RPM's I have to shift to 4th just before the traps and I get a huge power ban loss. I got a few mustangs sleeping or spinning off the line and had 3 trucks but they were able to close me out in the traps once I shifted into 4th. Pulls hard 1-2-2p and then falls on its face.
I'm looking for someone to modify my valve body for performance but not much put there for the 65RFE.

Sounds like it's time for a stall.

Yep it's on the top of my list, but I've read a few threads about people having problems with them. Lock and unlocking wile driving and shuttering issues. And the big question I have is what stall rate? It's a daily driver and weekend strip truck and never tow. I spoke with Andre at edge and he recommended a 3000 stall. I'm on the fence about it.
