It's just a couple of wires to the fan...you can easily wire in a manual override switch to turn it on whenever you want...or tie in an aftermarket controller. It'll be downstream of the ECM so it shouldn't mess with the computer at all.
I'd do this(wire in a controller) if you want to do this mod with a 2011+. Wiring in a switch will still be relying on your memory.

There are plenty of 2 speed fan controllers out there....just wire it to the battery and have at it!

I did this with a B&G PCM and saw an increase in MPG. I seriously doubt this mod had much of a factor. You are removing some parasitic loss from the motor so it will be more efficient, but not much. If I was to guess you might see 1-2% increase in gas mileage so maybe a couple tenths of a mile per gallon...

I didn't really notice a mpg increase but I noticed at very very light throttle the truck seemed to have more throttle response.

Well I think I might give this a try, though I may wait a bit due to the fact that it seems a few companies seem to be at the edge of breaking past the no tuning. Or the rumors of chrysler releasing the codes at SEMA. We'll see. I will definitely look into the fan controllers though. Any advice on brand or where to pick one up?

I think it is more in conjunction with all mods u might see an increase in mpg, however it is slight!

I have warranty too. Taking my truck in this week. Just need to put the tune back to stock before I go in. I think I have a bad catalytic converter, it's rattling a lot. Probably will put the clutch fan back on because I don't want the truck sitting idling and overheat(if they let it idle sitting still).
