Thats one of the first things I did with mine is just let it idle and watch the fan work it's magic!
Oh I meant since I'm taking it to the dealer I will put the tune to stock and when I do that the efan won't turn on if they let it sit and idle. So I'll put the clutch fan on for that trip. I'm pretty sure there is a trans flash for my truck too so want to get that.

I too have the electric fan and I like it. Got the temps set with my Superchips to kick on at 195

I put the OEM V6 fan in today along with a 180* t-stat. It seems to be holding 185* with the AC on while parked...~183 when driving down the road. Haven't seen any higher than 185 yet.

No, it'll creep up with the fan off. I'm in south Texas though so the AC is always on, which means the fan is always on. lol

Gotcha. I keep forgetting people use AC lol. I don't know why but I never use it(unless the wife is with me).

Probably is because my first truck didn't have AC so that's what I'm used to...

I'm the same way snrusnak. Which is why I'm hesitant on doing this mod. I like it alot very clean looking and it sounds like it helps in conjunction with other mods with performance and mpgs.....I just never use the a/c unless someone else is in the car with me. I'm a windows down kind of guy. Come to think of it my first car didn't have a/c either.

So for the E fan you have to run the AC? I have thought about doing this and a 180 thermostat in mine as well.

This was a mod i have been thinking of doing. I heard on the 2nd gen trucks it can increase fuel economy too.
Any results from installing the e-fan as far as in creased mpg?
