Cool TB PORTING MOD n e 1 else dared?

Whats up with all the 5.9 ported throttle bodies? Has anyone else done it? Ive been hanging out over on the 5.2 mod side to long! I need to verify w/ another 02 or 03 5.9l if my gains are legit. Im not sure if its the torque difference from a 5.9l to a 5.2l or my motors just bada$$

I haven't seen anything about it here on the 5.9 side, but they're all over it with those 5.2's. I wouldn't do it for the fear of screwin it up, but a good throttle body cleaning could really help out.

I did this to my truck (5.9) back in 2005 ish. It helped in the mid range and maybe on the top end, but I need to bore out the bores a bit to increase airflow. I'll do that with a TB core I have.
This is nothing diferent than what Fastman, Hughes engines or others do with stock TB's and then charge you big bucks.

someone in here posted a How To on throttle bodies, including several pictures, several months ago
Basically they did in their garage, what FASTMAN does when you send a TB to them, including trimming the air hat down

Yeah bro it helped me out mostly on my midrange sum topend.

I used a grinding disc & It cut like butter. Smoothed out the curves wiith a file, sanded it and light polish.
