MDS = multiple displacement = V8 turn into a 4cylinder during very light throttle usage.
Mainly down hill at highway speed, though it often kicks on at other times that not much power is needed to maintain speed.

On my 16 with 3.92 gears on the level (Florida keys) @ 43-50 mph, I will be in MDS almost constantly when using cruise and will get 28-30 mpg with the hemi.
Normally not even close to that mpg. Usually 17-19 [email protected] 73 mph.

I have an average of 13.5 mpg this year so far. I bought it in september 2018. My best was 20 mpgs and worst was 12.5 mpgs. Winter is bad on mpgs. Remote start to warm up just wastes mpgs.
I have a 2018 Ram Express Crew cab 4x4 with 5.7L Hemi.

2018 V-6 Tradesman regular cab 4x2 with 3.55 gears. Averaged a hand calculated 24.5 from Boise ID to Bismarck ND in the cold on winter fuel. Cruise set at 70 most of the time. I'm pleased with the mileage and power available.

With the E-Diesel I'm still getting between 23 - 24 in mountain driving.

Drove speedlimit- or 5mph higher this morning- too many cops on the road. Because I just reset the counter after getting gas this morning- I checked and it was 21.9mpg.

That is pretty good with the HEMI
With my Ecodiesel, i averaged 25.8 mpg on a 450 mile run across hills & flats doing various speeds. i was about 600 feet behind a semi truck that was pulling a mobile home 1/2 the time.

I get a kick out of seeing 99 mpg on those 6% downhill grades

yeah- was below the magical 67mph line- 65mph gives you the advertised mileage usually, when you're not climbing hills.

2018 Ram 2500 with 6.4l hemi with 3.73 gears with 7500 miles. Strictly highway driving any where from 16 to 18 mpg. This is dependent on the gas, I think. Last time I checked it 17. 8 mpg using shell gas. In town driving is 12 to 13 mpg depending on how I push the pedal.
