Default Synthetic Clay Bars/Mitts?

Anyone ever use them? I've never even used a clay bar and looking to keep my new Ram in excellent shape.

I used a Nanoskin pad for my DA....oh wow have I seen the light!

15 minutes to do the whole truck vs God knows how long with a clay bar.

The only drawback (at least with the DA pad) is that its so big, its hard to get into the tight spots. Even using a clay bar in those spots, you'll still save a ton of time.

When I used to own a detailing shop, we used the "speedy paint prep towel". It is a nano skin towel that works very well in quickly removing contaminants from a clear coat. This step is crucial before any waxing or paint correction can be done.

Over the years I've used the traditional clay bars. Then a friend suggested I try Griot's synthetic clay pad. The end result was the same. But it was amazingly faster and easier to use. Plus, when dropped, I just had to wash it off.

That's the beauty of the nanoskin towels. You can complete the work much quicker, and they last very long and are extremely efficient due to being able to remain clean.

I used the 6" nanoskin pad on my Harbor Freight DA. For large flat areas nothing is better IMHO.

In cramped areas and crevices I went back to regular clay bar because its easy to get into those spots.

Still saved a ton of time and my arm didnt feel like jelly when I was done with the whole truck.
