Default Bed Plastics (white residue?)

The black plastic trim on the bed of my truck is developing a weird white residue on it. I've tried washing it and pressure washing it and it still shows up when it dries. My buddy slapped the bed of my truck one day and now I literally have his palm print that won't go away haha. Anybody else having the same issue, any fixes?

Almost looks like wax residue to me. If get wax on the white black plastic it will leave that white film.

Ya the side picture I know is probably from when I waxed it, but then the picture of my buddy's palm print, I don't understand how that even happened because I didn't get wax anywhere near there top part of the trim.. Hopefully the restorer helps..

Thanks GTyankee for the advice, so far so good. I'll be able to tell a little bit better in natural sunlight. For anybody interested in the restorer, I put a picture of the 1oz bottle to show what you actually get for $13. I was able to restore all of the plastic trim around the bed, door handles, side mirrors and I used maybe half the bottle.
