Did dodge ever run the 3 speed OD manual trans in a 4x4.My 87 Ram 5.9 has the manual 4 speed but needs anothr gear on the Hwy with 3:92 gears.or is there a swap that works with a 5 speed

If they ever did, it'd be one rare bird, so good luck finding it. The only ones I've ever seen had the double low Granny 1st gear instead.

Shouldn't be too bad moving to a newer 5 speed. Just look to the early 90's Rams for sourcing.

I was looking at the roadranger they use in a Freightliner FL 70 for my 01' ram 2500. I know it's been done, but I ended up with a 98' NV4500. It worked out great but there's always that what if???
