Default Big trip coming up.

So my wife and I are going to be taking a big camping trip pulling our camper. I am looking for an suggestions and tips to get done before the trip. Please no comments from the peanut gallery. Here is what im working with.

2014 ram 1500 express qc 4x4 5.7L 8spd 3.21 gears. Airlift 1000 airbags.
20' hybrid camper dual axel roughly 4,000lbs

I am going to change the rear diff fluid this weekend and oil change a week before we take off. Anything else i should do before we take off? Round trip should be 2,500 miles.

Normal stuff like check air filter, all the fluids, etc. I would take a real long hard look at my tires for issues.

Have a safe trip.

Check condition of spare tires for both truck and trailer as well. If the trailer has brakes and truck has brake controller I'd get those set before heading off.

All tires for truck and camper including spares are brand new. Brakes on camper are new and brake controller already set.

Default Trip with Trailer

Watch your GPS it will take you down crazy roads....never pull down a road you can turn around with a trailer. My GPS has a mind of it own, sometimes i think it just sees if i will do it.... most of the time i do! Be safe

Replace the trailer tires if they are over 6 years old.

I have run full synthetic oil since towing a camper became part of my routine, it's worth the extra wear protection. Make sure your coolant isn't due to be changed.
You shouldn't have any drama as long as the truck and camper are regularly maintained.
