I was thinking about one of those when I first started towing my trailer, but decided I was in more of a need of a WDH.

I bought the 2" shank model without the scale and it too is very sloppy in the receiver.
Rather disappointing for the price you pay.

I have another aluminum brand and three steel types. All fit much better in the receiver

Other than the sloppy fit it is a nice hitch setup. I wouldn't buy another nor can I recommend it.

Hi,

I just purchased the B&W 7 inch drop for my 2018 tradesmen 2500 and love it! I red a few reviews on the weigh safe gauge going out and stuff. So I rather not have to deal with gauges. Awesome feature though, I’m just a simple kinda guy.

What? Never saw one complaint on the scale from anyone. Please provide a link to the complains, I would love to read them.

Update. I found the YouTube link and read the comments from a few guys and there use on hitch. I know it’s only a few but i rather not deal with another mechanical failure cause of features. I chose to do the tradesman this time for that reason. I like the manual 4wd option compared to everything electrical. Yes I know issues still arise but now days I read a lot of people having a lot problems with fancy features.

One guy says he has to send his Weight Safe back after every use, I don't believe it.

There are several ball mounts on the market, each having their uniqueness and benefits. Once you understand what your needs are you can select the best fit for you. Choices do not have to be justified by slandering another manufacturer's solution.

I've been running my Weight Safe for four years in Michigan weather. I've had zero issues with it. I needed a ball mount with a 10-inch drop to accommodate the various trailers I tow. The scale makes it very easy for me to properly load my utility trailer since what I carry is always changing. For my needs, the selection was limited, I needed a 10-inch drop, two different sized balls (not an over/under configuration, it would drag), and a 2 1/2 inch shank. The scale was a bonus.

He wasn't "slandering", he was merely reporting what he researched.

I did not say he did, the comments in the video he posted did. Sorry I was not more clear.
