Default New to the forums!

Greetings!

I'm an owner of a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins Diesel.

Although I have had to fix some problems from the manufacturer defects for that year, I'm still happy I got a RAM.

I hope to learn more about the RAM 2500 in the forums, as well as offering any advice based on my past experience fixing issues I've had.

All the best!

Bliz

Hello and welcome to the forumZ, glad to have you join the community! Sounds like a beast of a truck, any pics of your Ram you can share? We all like pics here lol. What kind of issues have you had with your truck? By all means, be sure to share your experiences, I'm sure others here could benefit from your experience! Lots of great people and info here, so any help you need, just ask and I hope you enjoy the site! BTW, I used to live in Melbourne and we would go to Vero Beach often to watch the Braves/Dodgers Spring training.

Hi Cajun,

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I just set up my account, and added a photo of my RAM 2500 to my avatar but I don't see it now... ?

So far, I've replaced the dashboard due to mfr using inferior plastic. I also had the notorious "death wobble" which was due to bad tie rods.

It made for an exciting ride! lol!

My current major issue now is another common problem with the airflow vents.

I am having airflow issues with the cabin vents. I've posted up the issue on a couple of threads here hoping someone may be familiar with the problem, and hopefully a solution

Here's what I posted:

"When I drive locally, the air conditioning starts out blowing great, but after a while the air flow stops.

You can still hear the blower and if you put your hand close to the vent you can still feel the cold air, but none comes out of the vent. The fan speeds on the blower seem to work, although no moving air is coming out of the vents.

This usually happens more often when driving on the highway at higher speeds. I replaced the blend door actuator located up underneath the blower motor on the passenger side underneath the glove box, and the blend door there appears to be working just fine.

Does anyone have any ideas of what else it could be?

Any advice or insight would be much appreciated."

So, where did you end up moving to from Melbourne?

I've been down in Vero for about three years, and I love it!

Best,

Don

Oh ok, I see your pic, it's your profile pic on your personal page. To use that as your avatar where it shows up with all of your posts, just go to your User CP (upper left corner of your screen). Then under the "Settings and Options" menu on the left, you will see "Edit Avatar." Click on that and add your pic.

I don't have an answer to your A/C question but hopefully you're getting the advice you need but sounds like you've put a good bit of work into your truck!

When we left Melbourne (I hated leaving!!!) we went to GA for a few years and then I ended up out here in Cajun country lol and besides FL, this is an awesome place to live, can't beat the people and the food, that's for sure!
