Default LED taillight issues

Recently one of my taillights quit working. After lots of failed attempts and frustration I have determined that the problem is this box. There is one on each side. Can somebody tell me what this is and where I can get a new one?

It would help to know more about your tail lamps. Are they factory or aftermarket? The object you ask about looks like a load resistor, but without more information on your lights, it is hard to do more than guess.

Hey bud, pretty sure that’s your resistor. The ones I have on my aftermarket LED taillights are smaller and retangular. But yeah be nice to know where the wires run to and from. I had an issue with mine and come to find out it was a faulty wire. I had to reconnect as it broke apart inside the housing of the light and just outside of the resistor.

Also, you should be able to swap out a resistor in that ones place. Pick up at any auto store.
