Default How You Can Still Get Extended Coverage for Your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram Vehicle

One of the advantages people have with a new car purchase is the peace of mind that comes with new car warranties. But what if you didn’t get the extended coverage?

Most manufacturers offer a decent basic warranty, ranging from three to five years of bumper-to-bumper coverage, with some longer warranties on drivetrain and roadside assistance. But, in order to take advantage of more competitive payments, the car payments now often stretch beyond the coverage of a standard warranty. This might leave you paying for a car that’s started to incur out-of-pocket repairs or replacements of non-maintenance related failures. Adding optional protection plans on your new car purchase might be a great additional peace of mind.

But, if you’re feeling a bit of buyer’s remorse for skipping out on that extended coverage, there are some interesting packages available for recently purchased cars. The folks at Chrysler Warranty Direct offer a selection of Mopar protection plans for new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram vehicles. These factory-backed protection plans have been available for over 10 years, giving added protection and peace-of-mind to over 25,000 vehicles. They’re available for all Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram products that have been purchased in the last three years, and have less than 36,000 miles on them.

There’s no time like the present to snag a Mopar protection plan, since Chrysler has dropped the online-only purchase price to new lows. It’s more affordable than ever to add the peace-of-mind a Mopar protection plan to your new car. Chrysler has been helping their customers save thousands of dollars over the last decade thanks to these protection plans, and buying online at a discount helps you save even more. If your vehicle is less than 12 months old, and has less than 12,000 miles, you’re eligible for an additional early-bird savings of $150 on a Mopar protection plan.

Mopar has 10 years of experience providing protection plans for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles. These protection plans are factory-backed, and nobody knows your new vehicle as well as the factory that made it. They were the first to offer Mopar protection plans for purchase online. They’re so confident in the added value a Mopar protection plan provides, they have a 100% money-back guarantee on every plan purchased. If you aren’t happy with the plan for any reason in the first 60 days, you’ll be fully refunded; no questions asked. They also offer full money-back service contracts for most makes and models. If you go the length of the term without using the service contract, your money may be refunded.

There’s a Mopar protection plan for every budget, and now there are more ways than ever to help finance your protection plan. Getting financing is a quick and easy process, with plans offering up to 18 month’s payments for your Mopar plans. It’s only a quick phone call between you and your new Mopar protection plan, and finding out how easy it is for you to get financed. They’ll even take another $100 off just for calling.

AutoGuide readers can take advantage of a special 12-month, 0% financing plan with no additional fees for just 10% down. Call 1-888-352-6103 to speak with a specialist right now and use promo code cwd10 for a discount.

Very disappointing Mopar removed the lifetime plan. I had planned to buy the plan after Christmas. Now I'm looking to trade the truck, likely moving to a F-150.

Does Ford offer a lifetime extended plan?

Fords extended warranty plan goes to 8yrs/150K miles which is just slightly better than FCA's 8/125.

I believe they now have a 7 yr unlimited mile plan to replace the lifetime. The reason being that after 7 years most of the repairs people sought under the warranty cost more than the vehicle was worth and they would end up cancelling the plan at that point anyways. This was especially true for the very high milage drivers that often bought the warranty. Less so for the people who just wanted coverage for electronics and other expensive parts but didn't drive as much.

I know first hand about FCA and the life time warranty. I had a 2010 Dodge Avenger R/T with 2.4L auto. Took it in to Charlies Dodge in Maumee, Ohio and the reason was for the transmission was leaking and slipping. The Avenger had a little over 119K miles on it. Up until this year we had really no issues. Window motor went out once and a sensor for ABS once, but really no major breakdown issues. So, we took it in and they took the transmission off and while doing so, somehow the engine block got cracked. The MOPAR warranty rep came out and looked it over and decided to give me what the car was worth and gave me a check and I took the car and sold it to a junkyard. It was going to cost 7-9K to fix it and the value of the Avenger was under 6K, so... No more Avenger. I did how ever buy the Lifetime bumper to bumper on my 2018 Ram 1500 Express 4x4. They decided to drop the Lifetime warranty in December I believe. You can still get the 7yrs/Unlimited miles and it is cheaper. I am and always have been a believer in extended warranties. If you are making a monthly payment you need to have some peace of mind. Anything man made will break sooner or later.

I was disappointed to find out that they can "cash out" your plan if they want.

Haven't gone through it personally, but it seems like a real bust in the chops for someone who wants to stay in their vehicle.

Me, my 2012 is having an engine replaced now....45k miles....had planned on keeping it, but not so sure now.

Still waiting for an engine to arrive....dealer has had truck , jumping through Mopar warranty hoops now for 6 weeks or so.

Have been a Mopar fan and owner all my life....but right now, less than happy.

I got hardly any use out of the extended maxcare plan I had on my 2003 Durango.....and hadnt made any major claims at all until the engine on THIS one. Glad I had it, and glad that Mopar eventually authorized it......but seeing as Mopar OEM parts are priced $$$$ and that Mopar dealer labor is $$$$$$, not sure how long my beloved Ram will be worth covering with a plan.
