Looking at changing my ratio to a 4.27. I found a calculation to use when choosing, which is:
Current Tire Size x Current Ratio
__________________________ = New Gear Ratio
Stock Tire Size

I'm looking to lift my 06 dodge ram 1500 4x4.
Im going with the 6 inch rough country lift kit on 35/12.50r20s.
Just a few questions about it. Will I need anything other than the lift kit to lift it.. like longer brake lines, or longer pitman arm, new steering components Etc etc etc..
I'm seriously considering 4.56 gears.
Problem is I've never done this and am in the dark as to what all the 2014 4WD requires specifically.
I've heard talk of axle swaps, but also hear OE being modified.
Whats the skinny on all of this?
