That prettymuch sums it up. I have a 2003 Ram 2500 Hemi. I just installed a 6" Tuff Country lift and ran into a steal of a deal on some 37x13.50R17 Nitto Mud Grapplers. I have no extra money for wheels right now. Will these tires fit and more importantly function safely on my truck as it sits?
I know it is enough lift and I have read that the 13.5 wide tire on the stock wheel, i believe to be 8" wide, will fit. My concern is will it rub terribly due to factory backspacing? Will it be safe? I have also heard that having such a wide tire on a narrower wheel will hold a bead better?
