My '05 1500 HEMI Ram will crank but it won't kick over. Got a bad EGR code (0404) on the reader so I replaced it. I have full battery power (stereo, internal/external lights, instrument panel, alarm, etc.). Starter clutch engages and cranks every time. Fuel pump hums and I get pressure on the rail. Coil pack tester shows spark on both banks. I replaced all 16 plugs with Bosch Platinum. Cleaned the air filter. Cleaned the throttle body butterfly. I even tried to hot start it with carb cleaner and barely got a hiccup.

Any advice will help.

Crank position sensor. It's behind the starter. One on my RT Magnum wagon failed at 320,000 miles, same symptoms, cheap fix, btw.:smileup:

Fixed!!

Hey thank you so much for the reply. I replaced the cam and crank sensor today and she fired right up. Blew smoke for a second but running like a champ now. Pulling no codes on the reader.
