For all who have a 2009 (or '10 I guess) 5.7 Hemi, can you post the MPG shown on your dash right now? Please be honest! I am trying to get a realistic average. Right now, mine is at only 15.6 MPG. It's at about 32k miles, so it's due for new plugs, but I installed the K&N clod-air intake kit about 10k miles ago and hoped that would've helped more. Thanks in advance for your input!

Thanks. I saw the mileage threads, but I wanted to get a resplonse from people who have this specific engine. Are there any mods to improve MPG much?

I average 15.6 in city and some highway mix. I did recently take it for a 2000+ mile trip and with my SuperChips set in Economy mode, I got 17.2 mostly highway. The only other comparison I have is the 700+ mile trip I took last June towing my aluminum trailer and car (approximatley 4200 lbs total) with the bed and back seat loaded with tools, slicks, luggage, etc pulling mostly flat land until I got to the hills of western MD, average speeds on the interstate were around 70 in tow mode (without Superchips) and I averaged 13. These are all on the stock 20" Wranglers and chrome clad wheels. Hope this helps!!

Bought mine used. Average was around 5 mpg when I got it. I reset the EVIC, and using a light foot I was able to get it up to allmost 8 mpg with a little highway driving thrown in!

Last week I disconnected the battery, and now suddenly my EVIC says I'm getting around 12 mpg. (that's the highest I've seen to date) .....so at least it seems to be getting better for some reason.

Wow.... mine is at 8.3mpg. I just bought this 09' used Ram a week ago. I used to drive a 02' Silverado. All i can say is that everything about this truck kills the Chevy exept mpg. Im hooping a CAI will help a lil bit. i try and feather the pedal too. Maybe cause i have such a short drive too and from work. I am heading up north next weekend so well se what highway mpg looks like

I average around 14.5 in the winter and around 17 in the summer. I usually remote start it 5 min before I leave in the morning in the winter. I drive 34 miles round trip to work, mostly freeway. These are real numbers, not EVIC.

I have 32,000 miles on my '09 and I usually average around 13 in the city and 16-18 on the highway. However, I am currently showing 10 mpg's! I'm not exactly sure why it is so low but I do live in a northern climate. The gas is all the "winter" blend which didn't help much last year but 10 seems low. I do let it warm up when I first start it in the morning and I realize that is probably the biggest contributing factor on the evic but manual calculations are very close
