2009 dodge ram 1500 sport 5.7 HEMI

long time looker, first time posting. i was under my dash running under dash led strips and was looking for a power source (no luck) without splicing into factory harnesses and seen these two plugs, i know the top blue ones is for trailer brake controller but im curious what the smaller gray one below is for. also seen one higher up that is half the size and up by the steering column that was unused with two wires running in and had no live power (no pic yet)

Not sure on that but I tapped my led lights into the power outlet to the right of my shifter. No issues with them and they have been in for a few months. I soon will be putting everything on a bigger switch and moving just thought i'd mention it!

The large blue part I believe is for part of the trailer braker controller that is if you are using the factory one, Now if not the blue one is the connector for the after market trailer braker controller, the gray plug I saw it posted somewhere...looked but cant find it.

yea thats the plan is to run it to the 12 volt plug in the center console but i want to do that when i paint and air brush the center console and radio bezel in the summer.
i found a quick fix for it for now just found a old 12 volt male plug and snipped and extended the cord to my dash from the rear seating plug and ran that to the power switch i mounted by the OBDII plug. will post pics tomorrow when i finalize wiring for now.

On my 2010 both of the plugs plugged into the factory brake controller that I installed aftermarket. From what I read if you only have one plug you cant use the factory controller.

I'm wondering the very same. Scouring the threads for anything regarding a Mopar brake controller install.

Anyone with any info???
