It's been a while since I've asked....

Anybody running 1/2 wheel spacers on a 4th gen with Chrome clads so they can fit 12+ inch wide tires? Did you have enough meat on your studs?

How about 1+ inch wheel adapters?

How about longer studers? Need them?

For how long? Any issues? Pics?

The general consensus is that 1/4" is the absolute widest spacer you should use with the stock lugs for safety purposes. I do not think 1/2" would leave you enough lug. There are quite a few guys on here who have used adaptors (the type that bolt to your stock lugs and have their own lugs for mounting the rims). There was a thread a while back about the width of the adaptor compared to the length of the stock lug stud. I'm pretty sure that the stock lug stud is longer than 1" and would stick out past the face of a 1" adaptor. The question then is do the rims have the little cutout or impression or whatever you wan't to call it and is it deep enough to allow the rims to still mount flush against the adaptor and not be held off by the stock studs that are protruding through.

Maybe someone who is running them with stock rims will chime in.
