Hi. My name is Leslie and i have a 2012 ram express with 3.55 gears, reg cab. I went to the track in douglas,ga and my very 1st pass was a 10.0. Dont know how yalls track is but we have to go through the water 2 times and a street tire dont like water. Finally bagged my tires some and ran 9.60s all night still spinning a little. Just was wondering how other tracks were

I usually run 1/4 mile, so I will have to double check my slips when I get home, but I'm pretty sure my 1/8 mile times are 9.3s/9.4s at Virginia Motorsports Park but I also run at Maryland Intl Raceway (MIR/Budds Creek). Its a 2011 RCSB 2WD Express, 99% stock with 3.55 gears, the factory 20s on back, 17s on front, Sonnax and a catch can. I go through the water and do a mild burnout (turn off traction control!) just like I do in my cars with drag radials - just enough to start seeing smoke in the side mirror, then drive out of it. Still with traction control off, it doesn't spin and my best 60ft is 2.175. On New Years Eve, my girlfriend and I raced in the New Years Nationals at Richmond Dragway which was 1/8 mile. She raced my truck while I raced the Camaro. We left the factory 20s on front and back and she drove around the water, no burnout and left traction control on. I don't remember her 60ft, but she ran a 9.51 on her 4th pass getting faster every run because she had never raced before and was still getting used to it - picking her dial-in was a nightmare!!

Trac off. 34psi in the tires.Left it in normal drive. No burn out. No brake stall , just put it to the floor when the tree dropped. I was shocked lol. Only made 4 passes. They were all real close to 77mph with the 9.29 being 77.22!
You get better trac prep and you should see close to the same. Not sure how much the 3.55s will hurt. I would also try the ERC and limit it to 2nd gear. It may pick up with the shorter ratio. If you just leave in in normal drive it skips from 1st to 3rd. I hate they lable these trannys 6 speeds.

Finally got around to digging up the timeslips. Best was a 9.288 at VMP.

Dragvan...what rear gear are you running, 3.92s?

i just went today and with three inch shorter tires on 17s mine ran a best time of [email protected] that was with my wife driving lol my best was a 8.86
Wow, that works out to about 13.8s in the 1/4! What track was this at? I used to be stationed at Little Rock AFB and the track at the fairgrounds was horrible!

I can't wait until MIR opens back up - test and tune on March 3rd. I have my speedometer calibrator now so I can run the 30 inch tires without hitting the top speed govenor and I'm expecting 13.9s in the 1/4 with 8.9s in the 1/8.

With good weather at a low altitude track, a rcsb with 3.92's on 17's should be capable of high 13's with good driving, IF you let the engine cool WAY down before each pass. Short times will be sub 2.10. I haven't gotten better than a 2.02 out of mine. It went 13.72 on that pass if I remember right. I've been more high 13's than I can I remember in mine, both at Montgomery Motorsports Park in Montgomery, AL, and I went a 13.82 in Bowling Green, KY late last year at the Buick nationals. My best 1/8th mile time was an 8.82, with a fair number of sub 9 second times.

These times are with a stone stock truck-as in, as dodge delivered it. 87 octane, spare tire still under the truck, tailgate still installed and closed, etc. No modifications to the truck whatsoever. I'm at a loss as to how that magazine (can't remember which one) that tested an '09 r/t managed to only run a 14.40. Maybe they didn't practice driving the truck much and/or didn't use 2nd prime, I dunno.
