1500 to 2500 suspension and axle swap

Hello, I am looking to swap the suspension and axles from a 2500 to my 1500. Axles are a must but the suspension is up in the air. I am looking at several complete donor trucks (most are in good running condition. just rusty and beat up) so I don't think swapping the rear leaf spring shackles would be a difficult task.

Has anyone on here done this before or can refer me to someone who has?

What are the benefits/drawbacks of having either suspension?

What are some points of friction I may run into on this project?

P.S. Thus far I have 2 lift kits available if I got the 2500 suspension route. A 10" from a friend for $1300 and a 6" on one of the possible donor trucks for a total of $2100.
