Ok- I would suggest at least buying a Chilton or Haynes generic repair manual for now as a reference. Also, look at the truck "generation" forums on this site for the year coverage of your truck and ask some questions there. Alot of members here have plenty of experience and can help. Im not familiar with the ABS system on your truck, but Im sure someone here can assist. Good luck-

How do you know you're having issues with the ABS? Is it just that the light is on on the dash?
Well I removed the calipher to check the bearings but failed to get the hub off so put it back together. After that I would brake and when I got down to about 3 mph the ABS would kick in and seemed dangerous so thought the brakes needed to be bled took it to a brake place they bled the brakes but thought the problem was the speed sensor for the side that I had removed but they were unable to get one so, I took it to Dodge they claimed it was discontinued, and no aftermarket part available. I decided to pull the ABS pump fuse until I can fix it. Since then I put the fuse back and now the ABS light is on all the time. I can't seem to get any progress in fixing only going backwards.

I thought the link Moparite posted showed the wheel sensors wires came with the hubs? Maybe I missed something?
So did I but I have ordered exactly what was posted to me but when I received them nope. The wheel sensors are actually part of the assembly that it is mounted to. I don't know what you call that.

There are ways to diagnose and repair without just throwing parts at something. You need to know which wheel speed sensor is malfunctioning. I don’t know about aftermarket scan tools but the dealer scan tool can see each sensor and what speed it is indicating. Tone wheels needs to not be damaged. Failed sensor? Which one? Three wheel or four wheel abs?

I recently purchased a 1997 Dodge ram 4x4 but I am having problems with the brake ABS system can't find wheel sensors and everything I do seems to get worse
O had a 97 4x4 360 eng. Always had a brake problem. Hard to stop it. The problem is in the brake metering system. I believe it had a rear sensor on top of gearbox and one near the brake master cyl. I am a retired dodge mech. Dodge really screwed up rat model and year. The tree is a metering valve coming off master cyl.. that's what I was working on before my Son took the truck.
