Hey guys.
I have read alot of threads on the site about headlights on quads, but my truck is dual HI/Low on a single bulb. I am assuming the doing HID headlights is possible butam wondering of issues and costs invovled.
I would like to find out as much info as possible before I spend the time and money for HID's and also maybe info on a good dealer some of you may have had great luck and service from.I would be interested in hearing what you guys have used and your opions of the products and weather you feel the money on Hids would be worth the costs.
I have to replace the assemblies anyway ( cracked and broken adjusters) so your opinions would be greatly apprecated.

this is the exact kit i have on my ram. its a high/low set up. its literally plug and play install, takes mabye 30 minutes. no modification needed. costs 120$. ive been running on it for a year plus now. i had a bulb go out in 6 months, but a quick email to the company and they replaced it within a week no cost to me. wonderful customer service btw. i most certainly recomend them.

as for assemblies i got a cheap set off ebay. 100 bucks, black euro style. looks awesome with the 6000k hids.

Projectors are ideal. I'm doing a set on my 3rd Gen. Here's the deal, either get an hid kit which will light up the night like you've never seen before, or projectors. The retrofit source makes awesome kits for that and it's a hid projector, best of both worlds.

http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=141 this is what I'm using

As for pictures ill try and get some up tomorrow as I'm at work.

I almost did them on my 2nd Gen but opted out. The projectors are pricy so I saved that for my 3rd Gen. Besides my hid kit floods the night. Literally.
Great info double0ram. Ok thats what I am looking for, the light that is coming from my headlights is very poor. I think it's a combination of the lights (installed new bulbs) and focus of the lights. So i'll try new assemblies and the hid kit and let you know. Sorry for being tardy in replying but I work 12 hr shifts.
I live in Nova Scotia Canada so i'll see what I can order here and how long it will be in arriving.
PS I put my ram beside my Jimmy with the ram on high beam and the Jimmy on low beam the Jimmy was atleast 4 times brighter and had greater distance. I have checked and cleaned the ground wire btw.
Thanks again for the great info.

That's exactly why I did mine. Couldn't see anything at night. I kinda did the same, parked next to my wife's 300 and her lows were brighter than my highs and her fogs were brighter than my lows. Not anymore haha
Lol ya I must admit I was scared to use the Jimmy fogs and see how bad the headlights really are.
Take a look at this hid kit and give me your valued opinion double0ram
http://www.ebay.com/itm/9004-HB1-60...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item35b97a0066 also they have a 10000k Blue version

Well in reguards to hid temps, 6000k has a slight blue tint. 8000k is intensely blue. The higher up in color temp the more you loose brightness. IMO 6000k is optimal.

As for eBay hid kits, its a hit or a miss. Idk anything about them. I've delt with V-leds hids and DDM tuning hid kits. V-LEDS is extremely easy to install. The ddm kit I had wasn't hard either but it had more wiring which is redundant and confusing if you've had an easier kit prior. So your call. You get what you pay for. I ALWAYS recommend vleds and will continue to.

As for your eBay assemblies you've asked about, I have the same style, mine are black instead of the crystal/chrome. They are awesome and you should definitely get those!

On a side note, that hid kit is sold by racer innovation and I bought my assemblies from them. My buddy bought a hid kit and assemblies combo pack from them as well and his hid.kit was just as easy as my vleds kit and performs just as well. The only difference between our kits was his 6000k color was slightly aqua colored as mines a crisp ice blue.

Hey double0ram try that Vleds link in your first or second post. It says sold out for me and when I try looking at kits from links on thier page it only shows bulbs.
Gages1995Ram good prices on thier kits.
I'll buy from vleds double0ram if they still have the kits and ship to Canada.

And i don't wanna knock anyone else's hids, but his kit may be decent. i've just been speaking from my experiences.
