I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 and a Kraco K-160 Headlight Sensor. This is for turning on the headlight automatically, i have used it on previous trucks, works great! my problem is, how to wire it to turn on the headlights? I got it connected and works for the parking lights. just not sure where to connect the headlight lead into the truck to turn on lights. this unit has seaparate leads for the parking lights and headlight. i connected the headlight lead (blue) to the number 6 pin on the headlight switch, does not work. any help would be great.

I don't have a schematic on hand. But knowing these trucks, I would use the headlight lead to activate a relay from a battery source, and wire my headlights from the relay. There is alot of voltage drop from the factory switch to the lights in the factory set-up. And the factory headlight switch tends to melt sometimes with extended use of "brights". You might notice brighter lights. Just my $.02
