Will other 1500 tail light models fit or is there a specific tail light for the sport. I understand that the bezel for the tail light is color matched to the truck but I am willing to forgo the color match to get another model to fit.

The sport tail lights are like $70 vs the non-sport at $17

Anybody know if the'll interchange?

Confirmed. I just threw a pair of black painted Sports on my 97. They fit fine, and look great.
