My truck:
2012, 2wd, rcsb express. 3.55's, one wheel peel. Stock everything, except lowered rear.
traction control on, tow haul off, let the truck shift, left of idle.

first...
fiancé's brother
2008 mega cab ram. 4x4, 6" lift, 3.73's, 33's, smarty, dpf delete, head studs, fire ringed.
He built about 15psi at the line, and left first in 4x4. He put about 2 truck lengths on me out of the hole, and by the end of the quarter, I was in front of him by a truck length or so. He did not want to race a second time.

second...
business partner
2011 ram quad cab, 4x4. leveled, 3.73's, stock tires/wheels. H&S tuner, dpf and egr deletes, mp8, AFE intake, cfm air intake horn, trans line booster.
1st race, from a roll...
I immediately put about a truck length on him, and he played catch up the whole way. At the end of the 1/4, his front bumper was at my door.
2nd race. Dead stop. Dead even out of the hole, and by the end of the 1/4 he put a truck length on me. He wasn't in 4x4 for either race, and I feel that he could have solidly beat me both times if he was a better driver. He seems to disagree.

third...
fiancé's 2006 range rover supercharged.
She was driving my truck, and I was in her range rover. Dead stop, I cheated and left first. She immediately caught and passed me in my truck. She asked if I really had it floored :smiley_thumbs_up:

My next prospect is my buddy's 2009 F450 4x4 with 22.5's and a spartan tune. It is wicked fast out of the hole for how massive it is.

I'll take the go pro out with me next time.

Given how much more those cummins weigh compared to your truck... One would not expect them to beat you, deleted and tuned or not. Especially a MC with a 6" lift. And the second one I'm assuming you meant crew cab not quad since they dont exist in 3/4 ton and up models.

Range rovers are sexy whips

22.5's weigh a ton I wouldnt waste the fuel racing that one...

A tuned 6.4 ford with deletes can make 575-600hp depending on the tune. That is approximately double what a stock ram will put down on a dyno. The ford would have to weigh over 9000lbs for me to have a better power/weight ratio. Crew cab 6.4's have been in the 12's with a tune only. Even if you added a full second for the weight of the 22.5's he'd still likely edge out all but the quickest stock rams. Being able to launch under boost in 4wd is a definite advantage.
It should be a pretty close race.

You got some nice kills man, way to go! Beating diesels is impressive, even if they are insanely heavy. My friend has a diesel with deletes, EFI live tune, and stall convertor and the only way I stand a chance of winning is if he's in 2WD.

The more you know about diesels, the more you come to respect them.

My last truck made 806hp at the rear wheels (04 cummins). Tuning has come a long way in the last year or so. Guys with the same hard parts are making closer to 1000 rwhp now.

Sweet kills! Diesels are amazing, I pulled up beside a 2nd gen that was lifted probably about 6" and had ~35" tires and it was a diesel. I was on my Buell and we took off on green and although I was ahead for the first 60' or so, he ended up pulling past me and quick. That means he runs in the 11's in the 1/4, I was amazed (and embarrassed) that a 375lb bike with nearly 100hp got beat by a monster truck...lol. New respect for diesels...

what kind of times did you put down and which track did you run at?
No track times yet. I might head up to sac when we test/tune a turbo setup on a challenger in a month or so.

How many tracks have you been to that allow a rolling start?

Yes, marked off 1/4. Even though it isn't an official track, lots of sub 10 sec. cars have raced there.

I'll post up track times as soon as I get down there. :smiley_thumbs_up:

ok, so you were right. He wanted to go from a roll, which made it a lot better for me. Wasn't close. 4-5 truck lengths. From a dead stop, I'm guessing it would have been 2 lengths.
