I dropped my steering column (in the process of replacing my dash) and the gear indicator assembly (automatic trans.) came apart. I'm not sure if it is broken or just needs to be remounted.

If anyone has pictures/descriptions of what the assembly should look like and/or how it mounts, it would be greatly appreciated!

I figured it out

Never mind ... I figured it out. For anyone else struggling with this:

The black rectangular portion of the assembly fits into a rectangular cutout on the left side of the steering column. Hook the deeper prongs into the lower side of the steering column cutout. There is a folding bar that comprises the top side of the bracket. Fold it down and then you can bend each side inward giving you enough room to hook the top portion of the sides into the top of the steering column cutout.

The plastic fitting on the end of the cable snaps into the right end of the bracket assembly.
