Hi,
I have a 2002 ram 1500 4.7L V8 2-wheel drive that I recently purchased.

The cruise control does not work, nor does anything light up on the panel when I turn it on.
There is a leak somewhere in the vacuum system which I've heard may be associated with the cruise, it also has oversize tires, which I've also heard need to be calibrated to the truck for it to work.
It won't turn on even at standstill and since nothing lights up at all I'm not certain it's related to either the tires or vacuum.
Is there something else I should check?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

The first thing I would do is check the PCM inputs with a scan tool to see if the cruise switch is working. While switch failure isn't common, it's certainly not unheard of.

ok.. I'm not too savvy on this stuff, so are you referring to like an error code reader? if so, it shows no errors. If not, is there a way to check this without the scanner?

Also: there's no fuse for cruise in this truck, correct?

yeah, I actually just tried replacing the switch, no luck.
The light doesn't turn on, and no cruise.

No link. You need a Chrysler SID to log into the site I'm using. Is your airbag light on by any chance?
