:doh:I now managed to break my drink holder - the swinging arm that grips the cup snapped off. Dealer says I cannot repair just the arm, but need the entire new assembly. (I think I made the dealer mad yesterday, when I told him how to fix my heater fan - to avoid alot of investigate/diagnostic labor cost! lol). I know how to remove the central console/dash to get to the stereo, but can anyone tell me how to remove and replace the drop down drink holder? I searched the Forum, but could't find anything specific. Thank you for helping me!!

What green light are you speaking of? My SLT doesn't have a grren light...? I didn't get a chance to look at it today but will tomorrow, I had to visit a dying friend. But if no rain tomorrow I will see about popping it out. The links above may have the answer, even though they seem to be about ashtrays, I think there is two screws behind the fold down flap and then sqeeze tabs to pull it out,...we'll see. I will go to salvage yards to look for replacemnet!

Its as simple as removing the cover panel that sits below the cup holder/ ashtray. There are two screws below the cup holder. Now open the cup holder and pull the flap down the sits at the back of it. there you can get to the other screws and it comes right out.
