Hi,
I'm thinking about getting a newer Ram 1500 to replace my aging 1997 Ram 1500.
I found what could possibly be the perfect truck but it doesn't have a tow hitch. It's a 2004 Ram 1500 4x4 SLT package. A dealer told me recently that there are no such things as tow packages now, but that all the goodies that would have been extra in my 1997 are standard equipment. Is this true for a 3rd gen 2004?
I don't mind adding a tow hitch to it but I would mind taking the time to add the bigger alternator, tranny cooler, wiring harness, etc.
So, was the dealer full of crap or is it just that easy to slap on a tow hitch?
