Hi,
I was looking for help with driving lights on a 2006 dodge ram 1500/hemi?
I installed 3 100 watt driving lights on the bull bar of the truck wired them with a relay, got acc power from a add a circuit fuse holder in the fuse panel under the hood and wired to a relay and switch in the cab and ran the switch to ground instead of power switching seems to be all done correctly but when i hit the switch for the lights and truck instanly shuts off ??? I have no idea whats wrong and would much rather get power from the accessory than direct from the battery?
Any ideas what i can do to fix this ??
sorry for the long post!

Thanks
Duane

ok, power is supposed to be positive through the switch and then to the relay. the relay is supposed to have its own separate power directly from the battery, or from the power distribution box. then from the relay positive is supposed to go to the lights and the ground can be just about anywhere. the relay will have a ground for the switch power after it goes through the relay.
