Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can answer this a/c question for me. The a/c in my new Ram works fine; however, when I push the button to turn the a/c off, nothing seems to happen. The compressor continues to run. Doesn't this system allow for use of only the fan - or is the compressor alway on? I thought that when the button was depressed, the light should go off to signal that the a/c was no longer engaged. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for your help!

Couple of things.

1. There are 2 buttons to push, one for recirc and the other for normal. To turn it off you have to push both.

2. If the light on the left button is on after you push it, you have to make sure the temp is not set to "max".

Also I believe it is always on while in defrost mode, this is pretty standard among newer cars.
