Ths is my first post on this site and everything I have read so far has been very informative. I ordered the factory remote start and backup camera yesterday and I am going to do the install of both and then take it to the dealership to have them programmed. I am confused as to whether or not I can install the new WIN before the computer gets programmed or can I do everything but install the new WIN and take it to the dealership with the old WIN and have them program the computer and install the new WIN at the same time?

I did an aftermarket remote starter install in a 2011 Ram a few weeks ago. total cost for parts was $200 canadian dollars.

I used an Autostart remote starter and an iDatalink ADS-AL-CA bypass module with the T-harness for Chrysler vehicles with tipstart.

Total time for the install was about 45 minutes
