ok im ready to lift my truck allready bought the wheels/tires just wanna make sure i get this right,
the only lift kit for th 12's is BDS right?? (i want to go 8")
and from what im reading i need the 6in lift kit and the 5100 adj struts,
well i called BDS and they said they cant piece a kit together and to call my local retailer and he said not to run the 5100's with this kit,,
is there any venders that will help me get an 8" kit together??

You don't "need" the Bilstiens. People just do it to get extra height. Personally I don't care for them and they will be coming off soon. There's several lifts availible for the '12s now. What wheel and tire combo are you thinking about?

i went with the XD crank 20x9 with 37/12.50/20 nitto trail graplers..
why dond you care for the 5100's??

What offset and bs!? Just curious bc my buddy didn't listen to me and had to have his Sport bumper cut into today hahahaha

The Bilstiens, for me have been a hassle. I'm on a second set and I've NEVER got 2.8" of lift out of them and I don't care much for the ride. It's a bit stiff and and bouncy. I would save your money and get preload spacers. Oh, the reason I'm on a second set is bc my driver side got about 1.50-1.75" of lift and the passenger almost 2.5"....talk about sweet lean

OK that's good to know would I be ok with just the 6" bds lift kit and the shocks that it comes with then or do you recommend something else?

The 6" kits only replace the rear shocks. You'll be fine with that rim and tire setup for sure with just the 6". Honestly I would save yourself a grand and get the RCX. If it's not "bro" enough for you then I would get the Pro Comp. That's the only other lift I would have chosen. Reason being bc its the only lift to use a full 6" drop. So everything on the front end from cvs to balljoints will have less strain, look better and will last longer than any other kit available.

I wasn't trying to sway you in anyway. Every kit for the 4th Gen is a good kit. I just din't want you to look passed it because it was the least expensive. Btw where did you get the lift? Modern Performance Company has 20% off RCX products right now...

also my truck is allmost 3' lower in the front right now,, any idea how "unlevel" it will be after the install? just wondering if i need to get spacers now or not

Call and cancel it!!!! It doesnt ship till 3!!

If you're Military they give you 15% off. That also made my decision easier. Apparently BDS and ZONE doesn't support our US Military.....
