Just got back from the dealership. Complained that the trans was slipping. Dealer said NO, it is perfect.???

390 HP and I can't even "chirp" the wheels from a standing start???

I can rev the engine while driving and the RPMS go up but the truck doesn't do anything.???

With the pedal down it shifts through gears like its slogging through Jello.

Is this for real??? Is the dealer right?? What canI do and not mess up my warranty????????

$30,000 for 390 hp???????????

All the R/T trucks have 4.10 LSD, should be able to spin no problem. The traction control and torque management keep things pretty mild. If you want to experiment, go pull the ABS fuse which disables ABS, Traction control and the ESP. Then it should ruin your tires just fine! My 3.21 truck can spin the tires no problem!

My 10 sport QC with the 3:55 was unable to chirp until after I installed the SC Cortex tune. Big difference after the tune even with just the 87 tune. The 91 tune, well what can I say it's a different truck. Unfortunetaly they have not cracked the code for 11's and 12's that I know of.

The tranny is the same lol. The way its programmed is differant. My 04 SXT would kill the tires to about 5000 rpm then grab. The response was so much quicker off idle than the 2012. Does this equate to being slower. No..... my 04 ran 9.6s in the 1/8th. The 2012 ran 9.2s. There is somthing though about the new truck that feels slower. Off Idle to 2000 rpm ( with out trac control) it does feel week. It may chirp then once it hits 2000 it pulls. ( trac control is still there:SHOCKED:alittle) Ive also noticed the response from the fly by wire is less touchy and I like this(great for hooking up the trailer) but it does make it feel lazy.
To the origanal post take it to the track and see what the numbers are. If there around the others then I would say who cares if it does kill the tires. Oh and you can buy the same 390hp for 20,000 lol.

Sorry you hate your truck! I can burn my tires off from a dig just by doing WOT. Maybe you have a lemon?
I would agree about it being a lemon. If you really can't even make your tires 'chirp' then something is wrong. I try to use a smooth foot so I don't break the tires free at all. Heck, I've even broken the tires loose with a quick punch to maybe (and I really mean MAYBE) 1/3 throttle. And that's with 3.55 gears.

I didn't watch the video but if it's really like what you're saying then something's gotta be wrong with your truck.
Correction - I just watched the video. Looks fine to me. I don't know what you were expecting. It's not the 6.4L.
But still, I'm not the one driving it. If it feels like something's wrong, keep insisting they have a look at it

Could be a problem but mine isn't just frying tires either. It will spin but I have to make it. Remember, 390 horse or not, 32 inch tall 285 tires aren't going to let go of asphalt very easy.

Your R/T might have been made by some ex-GM Canadians! My '11 R/T with Magnaflow will burn 'em with all the buttons on but really lets loose with T/C off and manual shifting. My '04 Titan with Magnaflow, CAI/TB, Superchip Tune and simple ABS will light them up as long as I stay on the throttle. There must be 75 HP between the Titan and Ram but they feel worlds apart and I'm waiting like the rest of us to use my DS Tuner on the Ram.

I sold a cherry 98 Ram SST that would burn out from a dead stop for this. SAD...

Also sad, I don't have an Owners Manual... One came with the truck on CD, but the CD blows my computer (blue screen). I called Chrysler and they said "Yes, that happens a lot". I tried to download one and kept getting the User Guide instead. Finally Chrysler said the would send me a hard copy.

In the mean time can anyone tell me "How to a shut off my Traction Control?"

Any one else having a problem with this "new" 6 speed automatic????

thats funny, my express has a hard copy and a cd. As for traction control, theres a button on the dash of my express under the radio with a little truck laying rubber....push that. Not sure if thats the traction control off button or the burnout mode on, never tried, i didnt spend 30g just to burn rubber.
