Looking to purchase the '14 ram 2500. Im confused on which engine i should get. I will be putting the truck on 20 x 12.5 with 33s. Any opinions out there???
If I were in your position I would go with the 6.4 hemi. The cummins is overkill for your needs, but if you just want the diesel there's nothing wrong with that.Towing my bass boat once a week and daily driver (commute about 30 miles per day)
Well to steal his thread a bit, no towing (if any maybe a 2k popup), and daily driver about 90 miles highway every day. Was considering an EcoDiesel for the fuel economy but now thinking might as well go for a fun truck instead. And replacement bumpers on a 1500 will weigh it down.
With both of you, a 1500 would be fine with a 5.7. Unless your boat is a massive triple axle, the 1500 will tow er fine. If your destined on an hd, I would spend the extra for a cumminsTowing my bass boat once a week and daily driver (commute about 30 miles per day)
How big of a lift are you planning on?Even with me doing the lift?
Either motor will handle it just fine. The real choice is what engine you WANT.4 in with 20 x 12 on 33s or 35s
I still want to be able to get on it and it go but i think ima go 1500. I want a all black truck and the only ram 2500 that comes with black bumpers is the larimie limited which is also the most expensive.Either motor will handle it just fine. The real choice is what engine you WANT.
I enjoy my cummins. But I really doubt I'll ever buy another one.
You can buy the black appearance group in the 2500 and you can get it in almost all trim levelsI still want to be able to get on it and it go but i think ima go 1500. I want a all black truck and the only ram 2500 that comes with black bumpers is the larimie limited which is also the most expensive.
